OFFICIAL: Chelsea sign Drinkwater on 5-year deal for reported €38m

Chelsea have signed midfielder Danny Drinkwater in a last-gasp €38m deal from Leicester. The Blues' failed in their bid to take Ross Barkley from Everton with the England man changing his mind on the switch after completing a medical. But they have secured the services of Drinkwater, 27, who has been on Antonio Conte's radar throughout the summer. Leicester announced the fee is a club record sale for them. The move reunites Drinkwater with N'Golo Kante, who he formed an irresistible partnership with as the Foxes won the Premier League in 2015-16. A source tells PEOPLE the 20-year-old reality star and business mogul is due in February. “They started telling friends a few weeks ago,” says the source. “The family has known for quite some time.
