“I Smoke Because It’s In The Bible That God Is Also A Weed Smoker”– Reggae musician Ekow Micah

Image
Ghanaian Reggae musician Ekow Micah quoted the Holy Bible and cited an instance where God smoked marijuana popularly known as weed.   In an interview with Akwasi Aboagye on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review, Ekow Micah said he smokes because the almighty God smoked. He quoted Psalm 18:7-8 to buttress his point. “The earth trembled and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains shook; they trembled because he was angry. Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it”. This news comes after dancehall artist Samini admitted to also consuming the illegal narcotic in the comfort of his home. Ekow Micah was arrested, charged and put on trial for possessing illegal weed. He was later acquitted and discharged by an Accra Circuit Court.

OFFICIAL: Barcelona sign Brazilian midfielder Paulinho from Guangzhou Evergrande

Image
The Brazilian, who has been with Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande since 2015, has been a target for the Nou Camp club for much of the summer and has now completed his move. Signing for Barcelona marks a return to European football for a 29-year-old who spent two seasons at White Hart Lane, without hitting the heights expected of him following a £17 million switch from Corinthians. He played 67 times for Spurs during those two seasons, scoring 11 times, but was eventually sold for a fee of around £10million as he headed to China in the summer of 2015. Paulinho has been described as a box-to-box midfielder, with powerful running and good movement into the box. He possesses the ability to push his side forward from midfield to supplement his strong defensive work. Paulinho also offers a useful presence in set piece situations at both ends of the pitch.

Stoke close on Jese Rodriguez loan from PSG, says Guillem Balague

Image
Stoke City are closing on the loan signing of Jese Rodriguez from Paris Saint-Germain , according to Guillem Balague . The former Real Madrid forward, who spent last season on loan at Las Palmas, is understood to want to play under Mark Hughes, and an announcement is expected imminently. "Jese's one-year loan move to Stoke is going to be announced very soon," Balague told Sky Sports. The 24-year-old has battled with injuries and poor form after he left the Bernabeu in 2016, but Balague believes a fresh challenge in the Premier League will rejuvenate the Spaniard. "Jese's progression has stopped in recent years with injuries, and an infection he had while he was recuperating," Balague added. "That meant his progression has stopped, there's no doubt about it. Now he writes Reggaeton songs and seems distracted from football. "So, I think he wants to test himself in a place where he will be playing and where he is going to be challenged. ...

Ronaldo Faces a ban of 4-12 games

Image
RONALDO COULD MISS UP TO 12 MATCHES FOR SHOVE ON REFEREE Cristiano Ronaldo could be suspended for as many as 12 matches after referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea included the Real Madrid star's shove in his match report. After scoring and removing his shirt to earn a yellow card in the Spanish Super Cup first leg against Barcelona, Ronaldo was shown a second yellow card for an alleged dive in the box just minutes later, prompting him to momentarily lose his cool and shove the referee. Bengoetxea included the altercation in his post-game match report, writing: "Player: Cristiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Aveiro. Once the red card was shown, the player pushed me slightly in a sign of disagreement." The shove could trigger a ban of up to 12 matches under Article 96 of the Spanish federation's rule book, which deals with "Slight violence towards referees". Article 96 applies to players who "grab, push or shake" a referee in a manner that is "sligh...

Dortmund agree to sell Dembele if Barca willing to pay €130m (Mundo Deportivo)

Image
According to Spanish media Mundo Deportivo , Borussia Dortmund would agree to sell Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona on one condition: Barca willing to pay €100m plus €25 to 30m variables. What is more, Dortmund would demand absolutely no pressure from the player and Barca. Mundo Deportivo reports that the transfer of Dembele to Barca is far from over as Dortmund are willing to let the player go once potential buyers meet the Dortmund's valuation on Dembele, which is €100m plus variables worth €25 to 30m. On the other hand, just like how most Bundesliga sides do their business, Dortmund put discipline of players at highest order, thus accepting no 'transfer shows' from players in any kind, nor would they be lenient towards any rebellious behaviours. Currently, Dembele is suspended by the club as he allegedlly missed training sessions to try to force a move to Barcelona.

Chelsea's calamitous display against Burnley is stark proof the squad is not ready

Image
Ironically, Saturday’s calamitous first half at Stamford Bridge may have been a blessing in disguise for Chelsea. This squad isn’t ready. Nowhere near ready. With all due respect, champions don’t go in 3-0 down at half time to clubs like Burnley. Chelsea and Antonio Conte have got 19 days to sort out this mess. If they don’t then how this season ends for Chelsea is anyone’s guess. The fact Conte handed 20-year-old Jeremie Boga — as talented as he is — his senior debut told his own story. The sending offs — and subsequent suspensions — of Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas have merely served to compound Conte’s concerns over his threadbare squad. This team needs reinforcements, quickly. Their spirited second half comeback doesn’t mask the fact. So where do they start? Replacing Nemanja Matic would be a start. The N’Golo Kante/Matic axis was vital to Chelsea’s title winning campaign. We know what Cesc Fabregas, who partnered Kante on Saturday, brings to the table. Pass...

Image
Liverpool have denied that Philippe Coutinho has handed in a transfer request. Barcelona have had two bids rejected for the Brazilian, with Liverpool insisting he isn't for sale. The club's FSG owners issued a statement on Friday, insisting there was no chance of Coutinho moving on this month. But Sky Sports claimed shortly afterwards that Coutinho had handed in a formal transfer request. The Liverpool statement read: "We wish to offer clarity as regards our position on a possible transfer of Philippe Coutinho. "The club’s definitive stance is that no offers for Philippe will be considered and he will remain a member of Liverpool Football Club when the summer window closes." Source: All Football

Sky Sports: Coutinho hands in Liverpool an official transfer request

Image
Sky Sports in England has stated the Brazilian has informed the club of his intentions and wishes to leave Anfield , although these reports are questioned by other journalists. James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo and Goal.com have responded that their sources at the Merseyside club insist they are unaware of such a request. The news comes in the wake of a statement from Liverpool earlier on Friday that the  club would not contemplate a sale for the 25-year-old this summer . “We wish to offer clarity as regards our position on a possible transfer of Philippe Coutinho,” read the Liverpool statement. “The club’s definitive stance is that no offers for Philippe will be considered and he will remain a member of Liverpool Football Club when the summer window closes.” Source: All Football

What to do when ur Iphone or Ipad isnt charging properly

Image
An iPhone that won’t charge properly is more than a little bit frustrating. Before you tear your hair out, take a stroll down out troubleshooting checklist to rule out common causes of charging problems—and, fingers crossed, resolve your issue without sending your phone in for service. There are a variety of issues that can cause problems when charging your iPhone or iPad, ranging from the easily-solved to the requires-Apple-service. Thankfully, in our experience, the problem is almost always a varying degree of easily-solved. Here are the first things you should try. 1)   Clean Your Lightning Port We really love the Lighting connector design: there’s no wrong way to put the cable in, it’s very difficult to damage the port itself, and the cable connector is very resistant to damage. The design of the Lightning port, however, does really make it an irresistible crevice for lint and debris to accumulate—especially if you carry your phone in your pocket every day. Ev...

Rose open to Spurs exit

Image
Tottenham defender Danny Rose has admitted time is running out for him to win trophies and said he wants to "play up north" in the future. The England international,  who has four seasons remaining on the five-year deal he signed last summer , has been linked with moves to Inter Milan and Manchester United this summer. Kyle Walker - with whom Rose shares an agent - left Tottenham for Manchester City  in a £50m deal which saw the 27-year-old become the most expensive defender in world football. And Rose, who says he will not demand a move away from White Hart Lane, admits he would have no hesitation speaking to Tottenham's hierarchy if an offer was on the table allowing him a chance to fulfil his ambitions. "I am reaching my peak and have probably only got one big contract left in me," the Doncaster-born left-back told   The Sun. "Time is running out and I do want to win trophies. I don't want to play football for 15 years and not have one ...

Juventus continue to chase Emre Can who reportedly refused renewal

Image
It’s reported Juventus are intensifying their pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, who refused a renewal. The Bianconeri are looking to bring in a defensive midfielder, with Blaise Matuidi and Steven N’Zonzi thought to be on their shortlist. However, Can is believed to be their ideal target and this morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport says contact has intensified with Liverpool. The newspaper reports that the German international has rejected a new contract at Anfield, with his current deal expiring at the end of the season. The Reds are demanding €30m to even consider selling Can, while Juve’s offer is thought to be €25m. For that reason, Matuidi, N’Zonzi and Strootman remain targets.

Nemanja Matic: Goals will come for Lukaku

Image
Despite a disappointing night for Manchester United in Skopje, Nemanja Matic is sure his new team-mate Romelu Lukaku will be a goalscoring force in the season to come. The Reds fell to a 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid on Tuesday night as Casemiro and Isco netted either side of the break for the European Champions before Lukaku pulled one back after 62 minutes. United's new no.9's first official goal for the club, on his competitive debut, came as he reacted fastest to fire home after Matic's powerful shot was fumbled by Keylor Navas in the Real goal. Before he found the net Lukaku had missed an earlier chance, but after the match Matic was confident that the Belgian's goal would be the first of many for him. "It's very important for us that our strikers score goals," Matic told MUTV. "It's very important for confidence. "As you know he missed a very good chance but this can happen – it's football. But I am happy for him that he scor...

PSG ready to offer over £80m for Alexis Sanchez

Image
Paris Saint-Germain are still in the race to sign Alexis Sanchez this summer and, despite knowing his first preference is Manchester City, feel they can test that position as well as the resolve of Arsenal by putting forward the type of financial package that proves too good to turn down. The French club have already stunned football by prising Neymar from Barcelona in a world-record £200m deal and sources close to the situation say that only marks the start of what is over the next few years set to be the most ambitious spending spree seen in football. PSG still want another striker and, while they are also still pursuing Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe, have not given up Sanchez. The Chilean has so far shown no willingness to sign Arsenal’s new contract offer - believed to involve wages of over £250,000 a week - and the Independent understands City would not even need to go so high, such is the 28-year-old’s desire to join up with former Barcelona boss Pep Guard...

Philippe Coutinho 'wanted by Paris Saint-Germain' as transfer battle hots up

Image
Paris Saint-Germain could be set to rival Barcelona for Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho . The Brazilian is wanted by the Spanish giants to replace Neymar - who joined PSG for £199million. But according to Le Parisien , the French side are not ready to stop spending yet, and could launch a £100million bid for Coutinho. PSG want to build a team that can win the Champions League and are prepared to spend big money to fine tune their squad. But all of Barcelona's approaches for Coutinho have so far been rebuffed with Jurgen Klopp insisting none of his star players will be sold this summer. The situation is likely to be the same with any approaches from PSG. Coutinho was left out of the Liverpool squad on Saturday night for the friendly against Athletic Bilbao. The 25-year-old is still suffering from a slight niggle that also saw him miss the meeting with Atletico Madrid. Klopp, meanwhile, has effectively admitted defeat in the hunt for Vigil van Dijk. The German ma...
