Philippe Coutinho 'wanted by Paris Saint-Germain' as transfer battle hots up

Paris Saint-Germain could be set to rival Barcelona for Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho . The Brazilian is wanted by the Spanish giants to replace Neymar - who joined PSG for £199million. But according to Le Parisien , the French side are not ready to stop spending yet, and could launch a £100million bid for Coutinho. PSG want to build a team that can win the Champions League and are prepared to spend big money to fine tune their squad. But all of Barcelona's approaches for Coutinho have so far been rebuffed with Jurgen Klopp insisting none of his star players will be sold this summer. The situation is likely to be the same with any approaches from PSG. Coutinho was left out of the Liverpool squad on Saturday night for the friendly against Athletic Bilbao. The Colombian is eager to get more playing time under his belt with the World Cup on the horizon and is expected to return to his former club Carlos Bacca wants to return to Sevilla, according to the AC Milan forward's agent. The Colombia international is expected to leave San Siro this transfer window, having been left out of a friendly win over Bayern Munich and both legs of their Europa League tie with CSU Craiova. Bacca left Sevilla for Milan in 2015 and has scored 31 Serie A goals. Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar , is now the second-highest paid player in the world. The 25-year-old completed his world-record move to Ligue 1 on Thursday, after PSG activated his £200m release clause. Neymar has penned a five-year deal with the French club, which will see him pick up £515,000 a week at the Parc des Princes.
